We arrived at our first campsite in France yesterday, having travelled by Eurotunnel.
Eurotunnel
We left home at about 7.45am on Wednesday 1st May and arrived at the Eurotunnel departure station at 11.55am. No hold ups, luckily they put us on the earlier train as our booking was for 1.20pm.

Seraucourt le Grand - France
Camping du Vivier aux Carpes
Two nights 1st & 2nd May
We are staying on a very nice, well kept site which has fishing lakes and lots of bird song.
Throughout the day and night you can hear the bells from the village church, which is really lovely.
The campsite is actually in the village which is very small and very pretty.

Saint Quentin
We spent a lovely morning in Saint Quentin, shopping and visiting the Basilica
which is undergoing stone work repairs and covered in scaffolding, hence no photo.
This is the main square of Saint Quentin which is overflowing with flowers,
which can be said of most of France so far, flower displays are everywhere.
We have found the bakers and purchased a baguette which will go lovely with
the cheese that we bought.

First World War British Cemetery at Seraucourt Le Grand
This cemetery is beautifully kept in the French countryside, it is full of British soldiers from
all regiments and sadly most of the headstones state that the soldier is unknown.
The sun is a bit intermittent and temperature only 68f, but when the sun shines it is really warm.
