Sirmione, Italy
We travelled for 3.5 hours from Venice to Sirmione a lovely town on a peninsular jutting out into Lake Garda. The site is not one of the best, but for 16 euros a night you cannot complain, after all we did come here for the location.

Verona
On our first day here, which again was blessed with glorious sunshine we took a day trip into Verona.
We did the normal tourist route, looking at the Arena, used originally for gladiators but now used for shows, such as Operas and concerts. We also visited the Piazza Erbe, a lovely piazza full with market stalls and surrounded by amazing architecture, statues and fountains where you can also find the statue of Dante. Following on from lunch in the Piazza we visited the Casa Di Giulietta, the balcony which was supposedly the foundation for Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare.
Here are some pictures.

Sirmione
Yesterday we visited Sirmione, a real tourist spot for everyone. A pleasant couple of hours was spent exploring the town, castle and shops.
Bardolino
In the afternoon we went exploring and came across a town called Bardolino which is really quaint with a very scenic port, cobbled streets and plenty of restaurants, one of which we enjoyed a lovely lunch.
